This week was spirit week at school, and today was the DR Independence Day! Interesting day--we had to march in a "parade" which meant walking about 4 blocks in lines to the Catholic church, attending mass, and then listening to the mayor and a few other leaders speak! It was an interesting experince....I think I heard "Viva La Republica Dominicana!" about a million times! Definitely different than how we spend our Independence Day!
